What would happen if Avonlea hosted the Olympics?

The 2012 Olympics are off to a glorious start, London is doing a great job. But what would happen if the Olympics were hosted by Avnlea, Prince Edward Island?
The Clothes
I know athletes will come in their national attire. However, I think the Canadian team would be forced to wear Anne of Green Gables Hats/Braids combos. Maybe their warmup gear would be Wincey Dresses? 
Every athlete would be given an Anne of Green Gables water bottle for the event. If spectators wore Victorian clothes, the event would certainly get a unique vibe.
The Music
We all love hearing Chariots of Fire and other Olympic musical themes (my personal favourite is John William’s Summon the Heroes). Imagine the athletes entering a stadium to Anne of Green Gables music? Hmmm… Is there any song that would fit? Maybe the Road to Avonlea main theme. Gus Pike may have to write some new fiddle themes.
The Influx of Tourists
How would the White Sands Hotel deal with the millions of tourists that an Olympic Games would bring? Poor Simon Tremayne would be going crazy. I guess being too busy is a good problem to have.
The Opening Ceremony
This is the one aspect that would be amazing. Imagine an Anne of Green Gables themed spectacle! Anne could jump out of an airplane with Matthew. The Avonlea School children could sing a couple of songs. Jasper Dale could develop some new dazzling fireworks. The possibilities are endless.
Am I the only one who thinks Rachel Lynde would make a wonderful event announcer?
